UnEmployed NOMORE??
Summer of my junior year, I went job searching and I did some volunteer work. Although, the volunteering didn't last long I still thought it was a terrible experience. You come when you want and leave when you want, that doesn't prepare me for the "working" world. Most people who's workng right now, money is their motivation that'll give them the boost to work for eight hours. Well, no let me scratch that, my motivation would be the money. If i'm complaining about six hours of school, how would someone like me survive eight hours working without motivation? If my motivation is money why would I work somewhere for free? taking off some of the load for people who are getting paid there? Not me, I am the last person that'll make a job easier for someone getting paid, for free. I even took classes at JobLink to help build my resume, so that i'll appeal to employers even more. I can say that it worked, since i've had one interview and I have one to go to on Christmas Eve. Although, i've been to volunter only a couple of times and haven't been back since I decided i'm not working for free anymore. I have a goal to achieve and working for free isn't the way i'm going to achieve it. Will UnEmployed be unemployed anymore? I won't know until I go to my interview on the twenty-fourth of december. Hopefully not, since the determination is there, the motivation is there, as long as the monies there, there's nothing to worry about.

My Favorite Meal
My favorite meal consists of three parts, the main course, drink, and dessert. It takes only a hour and a half to prepare and only fifteen minutes to place on a plate and the table. It filled the house with the smell of freshly baked poultry and a succulent sauce. The texture of the succulent sauce is smooth, and melts in your mouth. My dessert contains a delectable type of chocolate, and sugar. The desert might not be suitable to have three or more servings of it. My last and most important part of the meal is my beverage, there's no exact way I can explain the beverage of my chioce, it has a smooth texture, without the after taste, and it has a sugary sweet silk sheet that caresses my tongue with each sip. Although it is sold in different colors, I am only talking about the original of my beverage.

Hip Hop Music blinding?
Are we as young people blinded by hip hop music? I believe that if we listened to acapella lyrics of some of the songs, we would be apalled at the stereotypical net that is said about black people. We could all acheive the same things as these rappers such as: the money, the houses, the cars, and the fame. If we stopped trying to live the lyrics of a hot beat and a dance then we can finally walk with our pants pulled up and skirts at an acceptable length to become CEOs, Presidents, Actors/Actresses, and Celebrities. I'm a listener of hip hop music but I don't want to put in the category as a ghetto student that attends a prominently black school. I might've followed behind the others that were the stereotype but I choose to keep myself around successors and people that don't talk that much. I'd rather be lame with success in my future than be known living the lifestyle of a drug dealer, thief, and fast food worker. So I believe that we are blinded by the hip hop hits and dances.
My Wishlist
If I had three wishes they would be to be able to speak four foreign languages fluently, to have long hair, and my last would be that my eyes change colors to my mood swings (like a mood ring). Although they are pretty aren't prestigious wishes, I have no specific order in which these wishes could be placed. If I had to choose the order they would go in order by the most profit.
1. Ability to speak four foreign languages fluently
I would wish to speak four fluent languages, because then i'd be able to take on the occupation as a government translator. I would be making a little over 72,000 a yr. if I were government translator. If I had to pick the foreign languages they would be Spanish, Korean, Dutch, and Russian. In movies the bad guys are of a different ethnicity and spesak a foreign language and those are the most common used in movies.
2. Mood Eyes
I would want eyes that change colors as my mood changes because they are rare. They have the car paint that change colors depending upon how the sun hits it. I would use the wish and get a profit by making a scientific research and make contacts that do the same thing using my own sight. The research organization could be worth millions in profits and so would my eyes.
3. Long hair
I would wish for long hair because my hair isn't as long as I want it to be. I could be warm in the cold and cool in the heat. It could be used for shade in the heat, and a insulation chamber for my head anf face in the winter. It could be passed down in my genes and the next generation of my family will reinvent the image I have of my Native American ancestors.

Holiday Spiritals
The only things I enjoy from the holidays, are the holidays breaks from and spending time with my family. I love being around my family during the holidays because of their holiday spirit, well just my mom and aunts. My family tend to go through the funniest drama during the holidays, since we don't have to go to school or go to work (or have a job for that matter). During this part of the season, the tension builds and relationship either make or break during the holidays. Which in my opinion is funny, because there's no such thing as a normal day or normal dinner with my family. If my family is happy then i'm happy. If my mother is laughing, then so is the rest of my family. The mood of my family is what either improves or affects my holiday spirit.

Job Searching
I am currently a member of six internet job listing websites and yet I still don't have a job. I got asked in for an interview once and got turned down because I wasn't eighteen, I was told that I wasn't right for the job my second interview where they were supposed to tell me my work schedule. Times are tough, but President Obama is bringing in jobs and I have yet to obtain one. I might need to look at the way I answer the questions in the questionnaire, that could be what's destroying my chances, but then again it could be that i've been at the same high school for four years and have yet to participate in any extracurricular activites other than my praise dancing for my church. I tried going to a joblink center to get help with getting a job and took job oppurtunities for the youth listing there, but I don't have a job. A boy in my third block has a job and he's not even capable of completing a classwork assignment in a GROUP! But he has a job at the mall, I don't unerstand what's wrong with my credentials or my resume that makes me look bad enough to not even achieve a interview. I went from looking at grocery stores to retail to fast food and yet I still get turned down. Am I upset? H#LL YES! Am I trying hard enough? H#LL YES! Will I decide to keep trying or give up on finding a job? I WILL KEEP TRYING.

Positively Technology
Education
http://smallbusiness.chron.com/five-positive-effects-technology-education-31222.html
Instead of going to you school or local library for a research paper, you can search it on the intenet. Nowadays school libraries aren't as updated as they should be, so the internet is a better resource since its updated 24/7. Things such as digital encyclopedias, online books for summer reading, class notes, homework, and your grade updates. Technology has changed the way students learn in a classroom.
There's educational games that you can download to improve your child's thinking and learning process. These educational games are even homework given by teachers to help students that need extra practice with a certain objective. Even as a high school student I was given an educational game site to improve my grade in a certain class that I almost failed.
When schools in different parts of the state, country or world connect, students can meet their counterparts by video conferencing without leaving the classrom. Students can even learn a new language by getting a group of students and pairing them with a teacher from another country.
In the past, students could take distance or continuing education classes, also called "correspondence courses," at community colleges and universities. After enrolling in a course of this style, a student would receive course documents in the mail and would be required to mail assignments to his teacher at the educational institution. The process could be long and complicated. Thanks to technology, continuing education students can take courses over the Internet at their convenience.
William McCoy, Demand Media, wrote an article on the postive effects of technology and noticed that not every school has the resources and budget to send its students on field trips related to the course of study. When this is the case, the students' education can suffer. But thanks to technology, students can use the Internet to virtually attend Web seminars put on by museums and other educational institutions. NASA, for instance, offers a program that allows students to talk to astronauts in space.

Social Media Exposure
Amber Cole
A teenage female was exposed giving oral sex to a teen boy behind a school while being recorded and was posted on Twitter, World Star Hip Hop, and YouTube. Amber was recorded giving oral sex to him in a secluded spot at Northeast High School. Friend of the Teen boy that was recieving oral sex, was recording the act. She protested the fact that she was unaware of the other boy recording her. Her family had posted a video on YouTube asking people to leave Amber alone that it was foul for people to judge his sister when millions of people do it. But what the brother forgot to mention waas the fact that even though people do it, she got recorded in PUBLIC. If she was going to do the act why not pick a place thats not so out in the open? The act happened late September 2010, but was still talked about early 2011.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge & Kate Middleton
Prince William, got photographed naked and also thought to be doing drugs, in a hotel room in Vegas with a friend and two other females. TMZ posted the picture and criticized the Prince for the horrendous but humorous act during their TV show. News 2, also conversed about the act and Yahoo!, along with other news media on the internet. Prince William who never actually gave a statement on the act, avoided the public for a month or so, since he disgraced his family with his decisions. The pictures were posted August 22, 2012, and the stories of what actually happend in the hotel room were told August 23, 2012. His wife, Kate Middleton, wasn't affected by the story and rumors of her husband but had a "dress malfunction" of her own in a villa topless. Her photographs were posted September 1, 2012. She was posted naked in TMZ, Weekly World News, and E!. Although TMZ exposed her, they fought for her, they said that she was in the privacy of her home and the photographer that posted the picture were trespassing in her space and happened to catch her in her glory. These stories apparently failed to affect the happily married couple.
Anthony Weiner
New York State Democratic Representative Anthony Weiner was considered to be a highly successful politician, having been the youngest person ever to win a New York City Councilman seat at the age of 27, and then going on to win and hold the seat of New York’s 9th congressional district for seven years running. Unfortunately, despite his excellent work with underprivileged, at-risk kids and public housing, his career ended in a matter of minutes when he sent a link to a sexualy suggestive photo of himself to a woman on Twitter. Although he denied sending the photo, claiming that his Twitter account had been hacked, eventually it came out that he had been exchanging explicit photos and messages with the woman for over three years. He resigned from congress on June 21, 2011, less than a month after the picture that brought him down was posted online.
Larry Johnson
Although most social media scandals that have ruined public figures have occurred in political circles, other kinds of public figures have blown up their careers in a matter of minutes online as well. Although sex scandals tend not to affect the careers of Hollywood stars, recording artists, and sports stars the way they do politicians, homophobia or racism is a total career killer. Consider Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, whose promising NFL career ended largely because of gay slurs posted in a Twitter argument with a fan. Though he went on to play for the Redskins, they didn’t keep him for long; most people agree that the Twitter gaffe had more to do with his release than poor play.

Fashion of the Ages
1800s Fashion
The long sleeves and train prevented and
skin to show which only made the men imagine the body that hid beneath
Men wore the long-tailed coats that gave
them a “fit” look and professional without trying so hard
The bodice gave women the look of
bountiful, full, and perky breasts with a small waist
In the 1800s these hairstyles were
considered sexy and approachable
This type of dress was very popular in
the 1800s because it gave women a shape that was thought to be wanted by all
men
Women wore the jackets that was thought
to bring out their eyes and enhance their shapes
1900s
Fashion
Women also added the small umbrella with
lace trim to make their appearance more dramatic but interesting to the
opposite sex (2 seperate style)
Women in this area added the look of hats
to enhance the image of a classy lady
Women in this area added the look of hats
to enhance the image of a classy lady
Each of these pictures add the same
accessory but give off its own individual personality (1st and 3rd portray one picture but the look in the middle is seperate)
Taken from the 1800s, women in the ‘now’
era like the tight bodice look but unlike in the 1800s, we now enjoy showing
off skin
Skinny jeans add the look of a more
bountiful booty and colors that express our flirtatious side.
The flashier the heels the sexier we
appear to men and the more we stand out from other women
Men and women both believe in name brand
shoes add a wealthy look and adds to the fashion sense of him or her
Men in this era want the “street” look
and the “street”-er you
look the more attractive you look to the women that are attracted to this hood
look
My Fashion Sense
My Fashion Sense
The high heel boots give me the sophisticated feel, it makes me feel like i'm strutting down a runway.
The black tote is hot because of the look of money, the look of swag.Long hair can bring out the facial features and kinda show off your skin tone depending on the color.
This outfit shows off the shape without needing the leggings and half shirts that were hot during the summer.
Same for this outfit, the only thing missing is the tote bag that ads extra confidence and a little more "umph" in your step.
This flatters your arms, makes them look smaller. The heels and the length of the dress makes your legs look longer and shapely.
Everything about this outfit is gorgeous, you see this outfit makes Ciara look better than she did when she first came out.
The long sway jacket and flowy hair gives off the aurora of grace, thie outfit is graceful.
This outfit is comfortable, but not to the point where you look tacky and snug.
Even though the pants aren't as tight as I would wear this outfit, it still achieves the same goal of being noticed. Outfislike these can make you a trendsetter, especially when you aren't much of a fan about colors.

The Common Cold
The common cold which consists of the symptoms; sneezing, coughing, runny nose, may have sore throat. We have the flu shot which prevents us from catching the flu but why isn't there a shot to help fight off the common cold? There are cough medicines, but what if your symptoms don't consist of just a cough or sneezing? You can't mix the medicines that you take for the various symptoms you are experiencing. What if you have a hadache, sore throat, runny nose, sinus congestion, and a cough? You can't mix aspirin with DayQuil, or aspirin with Delsym. So why not invest in a shot that'll help us fight off the common cold?
Your 20 year old self
If you had the sight of a fortuneteller, and you looked at yourself when you were 20, would you be imprssed or disappointed? If I saw myself in 3 years, I think I would be impressed with the 2013 Dodge Charger I would be driving; the $15.00/hr job I would contain, the condo I maintained, and the 24 year old boyfriend that I had trained. I would only be disappointed at the the fact that it took me that long to do something in life.

Denzel Washington
Denzel
Washington was born December 28, 1954, by father Denzel Washington (minister)
and mother Lennis "Lynne" Washington (beautician), raised in Mount
Vernon, New York. Denzel Washington has made a name for hisself, without going
through the pretenses of having a stage name, he told his agent at the time
that, "if you were going to be famous then your name is your stage
name".
Washington
went to Mainland High school, graduating Class of 1971, then attended Fordham
University studying journalism. Washington won a scholarship to the American
Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and later worked with Shakespeare in the
Park Ensemble. While he was undergraduate, Denzel Washington acquired training
in basketball from Coach P.J. Caresimo. Meanwhile, Washington worked as a
counselor at an overnight summer camp named ‘Camp Sloan YMCA’ in Lakeville CT.
He took part in a staff talent show that was arranged for the campers. After
noticing his talent in the competition, Washington’s colleague suggested him to
try his luck in acting. He took his suggestion seriously and joined the Lincoln
Center campus to study acting. At the completion of graduation, he was awarded
a scholarship to attend the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
After spending a year at the University, Denzel Washington returned to New York
to pursue career in acting. Washington's beautiful wife, Pauletta Pearson
Washington, and children; John David Washington, Malcolm Washington, Olivia Washington,
and Katia Washington.
Washington's
breakthrough role was on TV's St
Elsewhere with Ed Flanders and Howie Mandel, where Washington
played as the nervous Dr Phillip Chandler. After that he was considered a
"prestige" Hollywood actor. Washington is mst famous for his roles as
Steve Biko in Cry Freedom,
the skirt chasing trumpet player in Mo'
Better Blues, the impatient civil rights leader Malcolm X, the
homophobic attorney who represented Tom Hanks in Philadelphia, First Officer to Gene Hackman
in Crimson Tide, Dakota Fanning's bodyguard in Man on Fire, the cop
unraveling a hostage situation in Inside
Man with Clive Owen, and the
time-traveling hero of Deja
Vu with Val Kilmer.
He
has won the Academy Award for Actor in a Leading Role, Academy Award for Actor
in a Supporting Role, MTV Movie Award for Best Villain, Tony Award for Best
Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play, Harvard Foundation, Golden Globe
Award for Best Actor - Drama Film, Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor
- Film, MTV Movie Award for Best Male Performance, BFCA Critics' Choice Award
for Freedom Award , NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion
Picture, Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Actor, Kansas City
Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor, Black Reel Award: Best Actor, New
York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor, and the Stanley Kramer Award.
He's also directed and producedThe
Book of Eli and Antwone
Fisher.
Washington
is currently working on the movie, Flight,
where he plays a pilot that fairly closely lost his license for his
being drunk and landing a plane that could've been the death to a plethora of
people that was on the plane. Washington's acting career shows the true meaning
of the famous cliche, 'dream come true". He proved the myth of the
"perfect" actor, as every role he played was different. From the
negro soldier in Glory, to
the sex obssessed trumpet player in Mo'
Better Blues. His career is historic and will never be forgotten
for generations to come.

Is technology THAT important?
Is technology truly THAT important? They tell students not to have their cellphones out during class, but teachers be texting and on the cpu while administering a test. Substitutes, give you the work that's due at the end of class, then begin to text on their iPhone. Teenagers believe their cellphones contribute a lot to their social and scholar lives. But to what extent is technology THAT important? Parents buy their children these "exclusive" technology, then blame their children for being rebellious and unattentive. If teachers and parents have such a problem with the use of technology by teenagers then why do they crave the same technology. Are teachers and parents hypocrites to their way of teaching and parenting? We're all hypocrtites to a certain degree, but is the technology ruining all of our minds? Is technology THAT important? To whom is technology more important?

Male Female Abuse
Domestic Violence can be deifined as Violence or physical abuse directed toward your spouse or domestic partner; usually violence by men against women. An estimated 1.3 million are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner each year. Did you know that females between of ages of 20 and 24 years of age are at the greatest risk of nonfatal intimate partner violence. The 30 to 60 percent of perpetrators of intimate partner violence also abuse children in the household. Most of these cases of domestic violence aren't reported to the police. Domestic violence is usually reported by a close or familiar face of the abused that reports it to the police. Police have a greater challenge determining whether the violence was fault of the male or women that is doing the abusing. Although, the majority sides with the man abusing his partner, others tend to believe that domestic violence can be justified within reason. Can Male-Female/ Female-Male Domestice Violence be justified if the explanation is within reason?
Views on election
Watching the Election last night made a difference on my thoughts of political views. While I was having a dep conversation about political views, the electoral map was being revised and leads were being announced. Knowing that I was an President Obama fan it shocked me that North Carolina was leaning Governor Romney, when I participated in the Presidnt Obama Campaign in North Carolina. I made 637 calls and 637 people told me that they were voting President Obama, others that participated in the campaign told that majority of their calls were for President Obama. Others that decided to not answer on who they were voting for made it easier to claim who they were going to vote for.
Looking at the results, I couldn't be nothing but impressed at the results. President Obama who had 237 electoral towered over Governor Romney's measly 206 votes. President Obama had 53,309,487 votes, 50 percent of the United States to Governor Romney's 52,628,611 votes. Though some of the debates were leaning in overnor Romney's favor, Vice President Biden tore down the house in his debate, which made a turning point in the election. When President Obama belittled Governor Romney in the final debate, the entire election waived to President Obama. I'm nothing short than angry at North Carolina for leaning Governor Romney, i'm glad that the rest of the United States had more common sense to vote for the President. But what can you say? They tried.

UnEmployment
The cons of being unemployed and 17 is, they never expect you to be mature enough for anything. My cousin who was employed is seen as mature, confident, and the "perfect" role model. I am seen as the immature, playful, and a push-over. Tragedies of the young mind.
